More than 600 leaders, innovators, accelerators and game-changing Startups from different backgrounds have crossed the steps of the industrial-designed Kulturbrauerei in Berlin on 25-26 June to be a part of Wear It Innovation Summit, Europe’s leading platform for professionals in the wearable tech industry. Already in its sixth year, the conference is organized by Wear It Berlin, a Berlin-based product development agency which aims at facilitating and fostering innovation in the wearable tech industry.
One of the most demanded topics was discussed in the “Medical Disruption” track which demonstrated future applications which have massive market potential, outgrowing the market potential of smartphones. From hearables or smart diapers to arm prosthesis, Wear It Innovation Summit had it all.
Materials and Product Development, another topic highlighted at the event, has numerous applicabilities as stated by Sofie Gruber, board Member at Austrian Space Forum, developing a Mars Spacesuit:
What we want to do is go to Mars. And we cannot do it alone. We have to do it together as mankind.
Taking place for the second year in a row, the Women in Tech Session was a tremendous success and offered women in all tech-based industries the chance to hear success and frustrations they had faced as women in tech from renowned entrepreneurs. They shared their recipes for getting results, as well as some failure stories – and tactics on learning from them! “There are opportunities for ladies to create amazing products. Take it to the next level. Strong women, strong economy. Let the girls play” said Mali Baum, CEO and Founding Partner at WLOUNGE | MAGDA GROUP.
