Kati is a Berlin-based artist and designer who explores playful ways to connect with technology. After working some years as an interaction designer at the Media Lab Helsinki, she decided to dedicate less time to her laptop and create something with her hands. Quite immediately, Kati got carried away with DIY electronics while embroidering a few LEDs with her friend Ramyah, and today continues the never-ending quest for the meaning of electronics. Along the way, she likes to mix LEDs, motors and microcontrollers with different materials ranging from hardware store treasures to open content and textiles. In addition to making her own projects, Kati enjoys giving workshops where people get their hands dirty.
