Stickletts vision and solution connect fashion, IT and E-health with removable appliqués. Their smart and cute ladybug appliquè is applied to a special undershirt for kids. The appliquè has integrated sensors for measuring body temperatur, breathing and activity, and communicates with the smartphone via the internet. The Problem: SID still causes 40% of deaths in the first years of babies life. More than 800.000 parents in the german speaking countries are afraid of their baby dying. And until the age of ten a child suffers from an average of 8 infections per year. For parents that means 72 million days and nights filled with fever, febric convulsion, dyspnea, sleepless nights and loss of energy. Solution: They could get informed in time and get alerted in case any critical situation occures. E.g if the baby stops breathing or the temperature increases quickly – the smartphone rings. So, we keep watch and parents start the appropriate treatment with less complications and happy children.
