Sabine Gimpel is Head of Research Marketing of the German textile research institute TITV Greiz. She studied textile technology at the Technical University Chemnitz. Sabine Gimpel has been working in textile research for more than 25 years, first in the field of ready-made clothing at the research center “WTZ Baumwollindustrie Chemnitz” and then at the textile research institution “Textilforschung Plauen”. Her work includes investigations in the fields of clothing-physiology and process optimization in the textile value chain. From 1999 to 2004 she was project leader for Smart Textiles with a particular focus on the integration of microsystem technologies into textiles. Today, she is responsible for the marketing activities of the TITV Greiz.
